Family Campout

In July, we went on our very first family camping trip.  We went to Ensign Ranch and had a great time.  The kids loved it and we even had some of my family members drive over to see us for a few hours.  It was a lot of fun.

Helping Daddy put up the tent.

Kennedi loved to be there helping Daddy.

She even attempted to roast her own hot dog.

Kennedi LOVES fishing, so we brought her pole and she spent lots of time trying to catch a fish.

Auntie Laurel and Uncle Michael came to spend some time with us.

Kaden climbed in the bike trailer to go for a ride.

Not the greatest photo of me, but we were camping...

Kennedi may not have caught a fish...but she did catch something!!

Showing off her proud catch of the day!  She was the only one who caught anything, actually!

We brought water balloons for the kids to throw and Kennedi had the greatest time throwing them against these logs.

My dad came up the next day to spend some time with us.  We had a water balloon throwing contest.

Kaden trying to blow the flower.  He saw Kennedi doing this with those round puff-ball weeds (I can't remember what they are called!), so he thought he would give it a try.

Kennedi trying her fishing with Grandpa.

 Kaden playing with Grandpa.

My kids sure love their Grandpa.  We are so glad that he came up to spend some time with us!

The kids also really enjoyed playing in the car for some reason.  I think this is the day that we were getting ready to come home.  It is the morning, so they have messy hair and their jammies still on.

We really had a great time as a family.  It is kind of weird that we are getting to where we do things as just our little family.  We love being with extended family, but we also cherish the moments that we have with our two children.  This is just one of many camping trips that we will make with our kids.
