No Husband = No Sleep

So, Jerrod is gone this week for work. They are working in a place about 2 hours from here, so they thought it was just better for them to stay instead of drive back and forth everyday. I do agree that that is better, but it doesn't make things easier on me. I have been trying to remember if I have ever stayed at home alone without Jerrod. Every time he has traveled for work, I have gone to my parents house to stay with them. That may sound a bit immature, but, if I don't have to be alone, why not? Last time he stayed for a few days somewhere else, I packed up and drove 8 1/2 hours to Tulsa to spend some time with his family. So, last night, I believe, was the first time that I stayed in our home without Jerrod. I am surprised at how difficult it is for me. I can sleep just fine without him when I am at our parents' homes, but there is just something strange about being in my own home without him. Maybe it is because I don't feel "protected". Maybe ...

Kennedi Says

Image
The older Kennedi gets, the funnier she gets. She has us laughing all the time. I wanted to write down a few of the things that she says or has said. Her favorite phrases are: WOWIE -(for owie) I DON'T WANT TO! NO WAY! --One morning, Jerrod told her that if she got up from her breakfast one more time that he was going to throw her food in the garbage. She looked at him with a scowl on her face and yelled, "THAT'S NOT FAIR!" We started laughing so hard. Since then she has said that a couple of more times. --Kennedi loves taking pictures with my phone, so one day at lunch, she grabbed my phone, pointed it to her Macaroni and Cheese, and said, "SAY CHEESE, MACARONI!" It was hilarious. She couldn't understand why I was laughing so hard. --I try to teach her to say the word "tooted" instead of the other, but she thinks that it is so funny to say and she even says it with somewhat of an accent. So, when she says "I farted" it is ...

Big Boy

Image
I haven't really written a whole lot about Kaden, so now is the time. I love this sweet little boy more than I ever thought possible. He is now almost 10 months old!! He has changed so much over the past few months. It is amazing to me how much he can learn and do in just a matter of weeks. While we were in Orlando, he learned to crawl. Since then, he will not stop moving! He has only gotten faster, and now he has learned to pull himself up to stand. He is also starting to be brave and let go for a few seconds to stand on his own. I love seeing my little baby turn into a BOY. He is so much different than Kennedi was at this age. My sweet Kennedi was so mellow and was content being still. Well, Kaden is only content when he is moving! It has gotten to the point in church where he will not sit still, so I end up out in the foyer letting him crawl around while I attempt to listen to the speakers! Kaden got all four top teeth at once. He was in quite a bit of pain for about 2 weeks,...

Love of my Life

Image
{CATCH UP POST} On April 23rd 2004, I married the most amazing, kind, wonderful man. I really didn't think that I could love him anymore than I did on that day as we were sealed together for time and all eternity. I am happy to say that I really do love him more! It is crazy to think about that because I know that I will be saying that for the rest of our lives!! I fall more and more in love with him as time goes on. In our short time being married, he has made so many of my dreams come true; from swimming with dolphins, to being able to become a Mommy. He continues to work hard for our family and is not only a wonderful husband, but also an amazing Daddy!!! I am so blessed that he chose me to be his wife. I woke up bright and early for my run at 7 am. I was surprised (not really) to find a present and a card on the table waiting for me. We are were in Orlando at the time, so we didn't have any wrapping paper, bags, etc. for Jerrod to wrap my gift in. So, the very cre...

"Mom...I look like Cinderella!"

Image
Kennedi has been getting more and more into the "princess" thing. Every time she puts on a dress or a skirt, she says that she looks like a princess. It is so cute and I love that she loves to wear her girly stuff. She is also getting more and more independent the older she gets. Well, on Sunday, she was determined to get dressed all by herself. After much struggle and frustration, she finally managed to pull her dress up and get her arms through. Her shirt was all bunched up and her sleeves were bunched up from the dress, but she was so proud. When she was done she yelled, "Mom, I look like Cinderella!!" Her hair wasn't fixed yet, but I had to get a picture of her. She is too funny!

Let's Try Something New

Hello, my name is Heidi and I am a procrastinator. There, I said it. Not that it really helps, but I just thought that maybe some of you needed to know that I have a problem. I really don't like this thing about me. And, I know, I know, I have the power to change it. So, I will...eventually. No, really, I am trying to be better at it. It helps that I am not in school, up late working on 30 page papers that are due the next morning. Now, my problem is that I don't blog. If you have noticed, my blogs are ALWAYS late and I am ALWAYS trying to catch up. So, I was complaining about this to one of my friends the other day, and she had a brilliant idea for me. She tole me to blog things that are happening recently and then blog one or two from the past. I don't know why I didn't think of this! The more that life goes on, the more things I find that I want to blog, and the farther and farther I get behind. So, I am going to try this. At first, I was having issues ...
