Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there. I hope your day was as fabulous as you are. We had a great day. We spent the day at my Mom's house. We went to church and and came home and just enjoyed being with each other. My mom didn't even take a nap on the one day that she should have enjoyed a VERY long one! She didn't want to miss one moment with her kids. My mom is the greatest. She just LOVES to have her kids home. Everyone was home except for Brent. We all missed him. She loves to make dinner and have all of us there at the table together. Her dream is to one day have her house FULL of all of her kids, their spouses and the grandkids there. It will be great...a little chaotic, but great. She was making popcorn (the homemade kind) for us and she just made the comment, "I just love doing this." I asked her, "What? Making popcorn?" Then she said, "No, I just love doing things like this for my family. I love making popcorn and having my ...

Kennedi's 6 Month Check-Up

Today Kennedi had her 6 month check up. She is 17 lbs which is in the 75th percentile, and is 26 3/4 inches long which is in the 90 percentile. She is a very tall baby!! The doctor said that she is very healthy. She had two shots also. :( She did very well with her first one, but the second one mad her very mad. She got bright red and cried. It was hard to see her cry because she was hurt, but she quickly stopped as I picked her up in my arms. I love knowing that I can soothe her pain. She started her vegetables last week. We tried Carrots and then a few days later; peas. She loves them both!! She eats like a champ. I think that she is going to be a great eater. In a few days, we will try squash. She is such a good baby. She makes us SO happy. Jerrod has had a hard time being away from her, but there have been a couple of days where she has woken up at 5 am, right before he leaves for work, so he is able to cuddle with her for a few minutes. It has really started to get nice outside, s...

Starting Out

So, I had a friend do this for her family, and I decided that it was a good idea. Not all of you have a "myspace" or a "facebook" account, so I thought that this would be a good way for you to all be informed of what our family is up to. For those of you that don't know, we just bought our first home in Puyallup, WA. We love it. It is a perfect size for our little family. Speaking of our little family, Kennedi is now 6 months old. She is growing and changing everyday. She will start solids and we are excited for that new endeavor. She already makes the funniest faces, so we are anxious to see her make more as she discovers new tastes and textures. She is sitting up very well and can stay up for very long periods of time before she gets tired and just falls over. She has rolled over a few times, but has not yet mastered it. She gets so close but that dang arm underneather her will not allow her to go over all the way. She LOVES to laugh and play. She especially l...
