A Boomer Sooner Weekend

Image
The first weekend in October, Jerrod and I were able to take our annual "babymoon" to Texas for the ever popular "Red River Rivalry" game between OU and Texas.  Okay, so it wasn't exactly the most romantic "babymoon" we have ever taken, because we were with family the whole time, but it was quite enjoyable to be kid free for a few days!  (Sorry Kennedi and Kaden!, and Thanks Mom and Dad, and Brent!) Actually, "quite enjoyable" was an understatement.  We had an absolute BLAST there.  We went with Jaela, and her boyfriend Ryan, and met up in Texas with Mitch and Susie.  A big thank you to them for buying our plane tickets!   We were SO excited to proudly wear our Sooner gear and let the rivalry begin.  It started from the second we entered the hotel lobby when we saw some Texas fans. Most people that I know, don't fully comprehend the magnitude of this weekend.  We weren't just going to a Saturday football game...we were going to one of...

Kennedi's Harvest Day

Image
At the end of September, Kennedi's preschool class had a "Harvest Day".  Mrs. Spencer takes them out to her garden and talks to them about the vegetables and then lets them all harvest their own vegetables! The parents got to come and watch and take photos of the kids.   Kennedi loved harvesting and couldn't wait to come home to wash her vegetables.   Waiting to go out to the garden. Walking out to the garden, looking at the chickens! Harvesting carrots...they were yummy! Mrs. Spencer showing the kids some celery. Talking to them about squash. Kennedi harvesting her own green beans. Harvesting some red potatoes. Picking a big, juicy strawberry! Yummy! They ended the "Harvest Day" by walking through the corn stalks, and getting to take home two ears of corn.   This is just one of the many reasons why we love Mrs. Spencer and her preschool.  It is Kennedi's own little world and she enjoys it so much.

Kennedi's 1st Day of Preschool

Kennedi started preschool this year.  She LOVES it and I love that she is enjoying it so much.  She has grown so much and I love hearing about her time there.  I have heard nothing but good reports from her teacher about how great she is.  I really appreciate hearing things like that because I have always wanted to instill the value of respect in my children.  She loves her teacher, and she loves her new friends.   Posing before we left for her first day!  I can't believe my baby girl is such big girl now!  Such a little model wanna-be! Kaden had to strike his own type of pose. In front of her preschool  Standing in front of her cubby. Her teacher, Mrs. Spencer! I am so glad that she loves it so much!

Now a Little Boy

My little boy turned TWO on Sept. 4th.  I can't believe how fast the time has gone by!   We found this suit and had to get it for him.  I think he looks so handsome!  Just look at that face...no wonder he gets away with so much!
