Kennedi's Harvest Day
At the end of September, Kennedi's preschool class had a "Harvest Day". Mrs. Spencer takes them out to her garden and talks to them about the vegetables and then lets them all harvest their own vegetables!
The parents got to come and watch and take photos of the kids.
Kennedi loved harvesting and couldn't wait to come home to wash her vegetables.

They ended the "Harvest Day" by walking through the corn stalks, and getting to take home two ears of corn.
This is just one of the many reasons why we love Mrs. Spencer and her preschool. It is Kennedi's own little world and she enjoys it so much.

A really good friend in my ward is the teacher for this preschool. She does such a great job! You have to get on the waiting list like 2 years in advance to be able to have your child go. I think Kennedi was literally on the class list for this year for 2 years!
I REALLY like how she focus' more on the social aspect wit the kids. He main goal is to get them socially ready for Kindergarten. Her philosophy is that we will all learn to read and write, but if we miss those vital first years of teaching children to be socially capable, then we have failed them. It is such an important thing to learn while they are young, and before they get into an actual "real" school setting. I mean, she does work on letters, and singing and those basic things, but it isn't like she wants them to be reading before they are 4. Her preschool is located right outside of her home. They built a separate building for the preschool a long time ago. It is a cute little building, just for the kids. It really is fantastic!
