Flashback Friday: Jerrod's Birthday

Image
Way back in August, Jerrod turned 31.  We ate dinner at a yummy Japanese Steakhouse in Spanaway.  They had THE BEST fried rice that I have ever had.  We sure love Jerrod and the blessing he is in our lives!!    Kohen really enjoyed the cake.  (This was obviously before I knew that he was allergic to Dairy.)

Snow and Ice and a CRAZY Week!

This last week has been CRAZY!!  I mean CRAZY!   We have had crazy weather.  It started out with pretty snow, and lots of it and then turned to ice.   The snow was fun, but the ice...not so much. We kept hearing on the news that this was going to be a crazy storm and that we needed to prepare for it.   Tuesday night and Wednesday morning we got dumped on.  The kids woke up excited and we ran outside to play.  It was so fun.  I hadn't played in the snow in a long time.   We started to build a snowman out back and then moved out front.  This is our finished product!  We were pretty happy with it, but by this time, Kennedi was DONE.  She started to get cold and wanted to go inside. Oh Boys

Kaden just informed me that he put a Mini M&M up his nose.  It was dripping blue and chocolate.  What a funny kid.  I am so glad that it was something that would melt!  Hey at least now if he picks that side, he could eat it and it wouldn't be AS gross.  hahaha.  Hopefully he learned his lesson about sticking things up his nose!  He wasn't very happy about it.   Kennedi just picked an M&M off the floor and said, "Is this the one that came from Kaden's nose?" I said, "No." She then quickly put it in her mouth.   My kids.....I gotta love 'em!

Today is my 29th Birthday. Birthdays always make me feel really thankful for my family, friends and life.  It is a day that I reflect on my life and the past year and how blessed I have been.  I really have been blessed this past year.  It started out really rough, but it ended just wonderfully.  I have come a long way in a year.  In my 29th year of life I...... Worked on getting stronger after being so sick. Watched my brother marry an amazing girl. Had a few surgeries for Kidney Stone removal. Got sick again and spent a few days in the hospital. Celebrated our 6th anniversary by spending a night in Seattle and going to see Les Miserables. We went camping a few times. I went to my high school TEN year reunion! We spent  some time in Oklahoma and got to go to an OU football game. My {big} baby girl started her second year of preschool. We celebrated my baby boy's 1st birthday! We went on our first cruise {gained weight} and had an amazing time...
