Kennedi and Mary


One day Kennedi came to me and told me that she wanted to look like Mary (in the painting at the top) holding baby Jesus.  It was so sweet.  It made me grateful for art pieces like that that I have displayed in my home. 

I feel in love with that painting by Liz Lemon Swindle when Jerrod and I first got married.  He surprised me on our first Christmas with it as a way to tell me that he was ready to start a family.  

I wanted nothing more than to be a mother.  I love the painting of Mary holding her sweet baby, whom is my Savior Jesus Christ.  I display that in my home year round, to remind me of the amazing responsibility that I have of raising my children to return to our Heavenly Father.  

Seeing Kennedi wanting to replay what she saw in that painting helped me to know that I am at least doing something right.

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
