Okay, so my "perfect model" face isn't so perfect anymore.
Last night, Kaden was playing in the toy room and like always, was climbing all over everything. Well, we heard a crash and then crying. He was crying pretty hard, so Jerrod went in to get him. He was holding onto him for a little while until he looked at it and realized that it was a lot worse than just a bump. He had hit the corner of his eye (not eyeball) on the chair or table. It was bruised right away and started swelling a lot. We tried putting some ice on it, but of course, he wouldn't have it. This morning he woke up to his first black eye. A guy at the YMCA said,
"Wow, Buddy, you've got a good shiner!"
So, I guess this means that Kaden has been inducted into the "man" club already.
Luckily, it didn't break the skin or hit his eye directly. The swelling has gone down some, but as you can see, he has some bruising there.

Poor Kid! Well at least we know hes a tough little guy! I'll have Addie come kiss it better :) haha.

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
