"Mom...I look like Cinderella!"

Kennedi has been getting more and more into the "princess" thing. Every time she puts on a dress or a skirt, she says that she looks like a princess. It is so cute and I love that she loves to wear her girly stuff. She is also getting more and more independent the older she gets. Well, on Sunday, she was determined to get dressed all by herself. After much struggle and frustration, she finally managed to pull her dress up and get her arms through. Her shirt was all bunched up and her sleeves were bunched up from the dress, but she was so proud. When she was done she yelled, "Mom, I look like Cinderella!!"
Her hair wasn't fixed yet, but I had to get a picture of her.
She is too funny!

That is so fun! It's always great to have them dress themselves, no matter what the outcome :)
Jenna was about that age when the whole world became about the disney princesses. The library has a lot of their sing a longs, if you haven't already discovered those!

heidi she is so dang cute!!! avah is going though the same peincess phase and i LOVE IT!!! i just wanted to say thank you for your post about your adoption/birthmothering. i wonder all the time if my birth mother ever thinks about me and if she would like to see me. i am going to try and find her and i hope it turns out good. again THANK YOU SO MUCH for telling your story

i LOVE it! Riley has worn the same skirt and shirt 3 days in a row because she can put it on "by MYSELF" she says! :) I can't wait for them to see each other again!

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
