Future Winners of Food Network Gingerbread House Challenge


Last week, Kennedi and Riley made gingerbread houses.  It was a lot of fun letting the girls decorate their houses.  It was a big mess, but ultimately worth it to watch them have so much fun and be so proud of what they made.  We helped build and put frosting on, but they placed the candy ever so carefully.  It was funny to watch two year olds be very particular about how things were done.  Kennedi placed M&Ms on very carefully and had to have the "M" showing.  I even tried to trick her a couple of times and placed the M&M on backwards and she would say, "Uh-Oh!" and turn it around the right way.  I think they mostly enjoyed eating the candy.

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
