The Brower Bunch

We didn't really do much on New Year's Eve thanks to our 3 beautiful children.  No, really though...we wouldn't have it any other way.  We had another amazing meal made by Jerrod.  Mitch and Susie were here to help celebrate.  Jerrod and Mitch would be taking Jaela to BYU-Idaho on the 2nd.   New Year's Day we got dressed up for our Oklahoma team and watched them win the Fiesta Bowl!  We love our Sooners, but mostly I think I love getting our kids dressed up for it because they are so adorable!  Grandpa Mitch and Kohen It was so fun having Mitch and Susie here for a little while.  Susie stayed with me to help out while Jerrod and Mitch were gone.  Kennedi LOVED having Nana here. 

Christmas this year was wonderful.  I feel so blessed that I was able to spend it with my family.  Things very easily could have gone the other way, but my Heavenly Father blessed us immensely and I was able to continue here on this Earth with my family.  We celebrated Christmas Eve with a DELICIOUS Seafood Alfredo that Jerrod made.   (Please excuse my naked 2 year old.  He is going through a phase.) I was sad that Kohen wasn't in the photo with us, but he was happily sleeping in his swing while we ate. After dinner, we were able to Skype with family in Oklahoma and the kids opened their gifts from Aunt Gina and Uncle Tim.  They LOVE their Pillow Pets.  Thanks Gina and Tim!!  It was fun to visit with them.  It made me grateful for technology.   We then opened up our Christmas PJ's.   We then finished decorating our cookies for Santa!! I am back tracking a bit, to before I got sick, but these photos are too cute to not include them on my blog. We went to Ellensburg for Thanksgiving weekend.  It was so much fun to be with my whole family.  It is always wonderful to be with all of my siblings.  We also went to watch my sister, Kristen, play in her Wenatchee alumni basketball game.  That is where these photos were taken....  Kristen and Bauston came to town to visit for a few weeks.  While she was here, she had Bauston blessed.  My dad blessed him and it was wonderful.  He is our first nephew and we just love him.  He is so cute and the kids love their new cousin.  We can't wait to see him again! There are moments in life that some people get to experience.  Moments that change your life forever.  I have had a few of those moments in my young 27 (almost 28) years.  I learned rather quickly at age 18 that I am not invincible.  I have really tried to remember that through the years.  I have done well with remembering that with most things in my life, but for some reason I still felt that I was invincible to death until I was OLD.  Not "oh I am almost 30 OLD" but I mean "really, really lots of grandkids and great-grandkids OLD."  That is how I used to feel...that is, until we LIVED our miracle.  It truly was a miracle and I will never deny that fact.  Here is the story of our miracle......
