Miss Independant

Kennedi is in that stage where she wants to do everything by herself. She is constantly saying, "My do it!" She even wants to pick out her own clothes, and put them on herself. I remember growing up and looking at some kids in public and think to myself, "why the heck would their parents allow them to go out in public looking like that?"
And, now I get it. They had what I would call their own "Kennedi" and it just wasn't worth the fight sometimes. Most of the time, I do win and won't let her get away looking completely ridiculous, and other times, I just don't care. On those times, I will take photos of her and when she is older, remind her that she chose it herself.

So, one day, she came to us with a big smile on her face and so very proud of how she looked. I will just let you judge for yourself! She is so funny.
At least she is dang cute, so she can't look too bad, right?!

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. One of a few very special and significant days for me. I have only been celebrating this day for the past 7 years, but I will celebrate it for the rest of my life. Today is Birthmothers Day. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
