Overwhelming Support

I just wanted to thank you for the overwhelming response of love and support from my last post. It took me a while to hit the "publish post" button, not knowing what would happen as a result. I kept feeling very strongly that I needed to post it.

I also wanted to post a link about adoption and birth mother support.

My counselor, Monica Blume, also wrote an amazing book about all the different aspects of adoption and those involved. The second half of the book is all REAL life experiences from people. The letters that we wrote to Alex are actually in that book. I feel very honored that Monica included me in her book.

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. One of a few very special and significant days for me. I have only been celebrating this day for the past 7 years, but I will celebrate it for the rest of my life. Today is Birthmothers Day. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
