Actually

I forgot to mention Kaden's favorite word.   It is: "Actually". He says this on a daily basis, numerous times.   He even uses it correctly. "Mom, I want a banana.   Actually , Mom....I want an apple." "I want the blue cup.   Actually , I want the green one." And so on and so on.   But, my absolute favorite of all time was when he said it the other day.  We were in the car and he saw an airplane.   He said, "Mom, I see an airplane!!!"  Me:  "Yup, your right!  That's an airplane!" Kaden:   " Actually Mom, that's a Jet."

Kaden Bug

Oh, my sweet little Kaden Bug.   I don't get to talk much about Kaden, but he sure is special in our family.  He is currently the middle child and is keeping that title true to his actions.  He is a crazy, crazy boy with tons of energy.  He is sometimes very ornery, but we still love him.  What can we say??!!  He is very much a TWO year old!!!  Sometimes I forget that when I wonder what the heck is wrong with him, but then I smile and am so thankful for his sweet little spirit.   Hiding and scaring us are a couple of his favorite things to do.  He is constantly finding places to hide and then jump out to scare us.   He is so smart and just soaks up the Gospel.  He reminds us to pray, however, it takes some serious convincing to get him to say the prayer. One day, he was playing (in his diaper...he isn't naked.) and he called me into the room to see what he made.  He told me that it was a temple.  So cute. He is a wo...

14 Little Bunnies

I have said it before...Kennedi goes to the greatest preschool.  The Thursday before Easter Sunday, her class had an Easter egg hunt.  I got to be the parent helper for the day, so I got to be the one to hide the eggs!  It was so fun.  They were all so excited. Before they all went out for the egg hunt, Margaret made sure that they understood what Easter was really about.  I loved hearing them all talk for a few minutes about Jesus.     Kennedi, Julia, and Jade.  Three cute BFF's.

My little baby is growing up.   He is now 5 1/2 months old. He loves rice cereal and is getting teeth. He makes me beyond happy and I love him so much. I think he is pretty darn cute, but I will let you decide that for yourself...

Kennedi's Surgery

Image
In March, Kennedi got her tonsils, and adenoids out and had tubes put in her ears.  I think that I was more afraid for her than she was.  They wouldn't let us go back with her, and I thought that she would freak out, but she didn't.  She did amazing.  Amazing, that is, until she woke up.  Then she was really sad.  She was crying really hard and it broke my heart.  They had me go back to be with her until we could go home.  She did really well after that.  We kept up with her pain meds and she just layed low and ate yummy popsicles and pudding for days.   The best part is that now she sleeps through the whole night and doesn't come in our bed.  It is great.  Here are a few pictures... The morning of her surgery.  She is happy here! Her monster tonsils before!!  This is after.  She is pretty upset.    She had an IV in this hand.    Before her surgery, she asked if her Daddy was going to get...

Positivity

I have so many people comment on my positivity.  I keep answering them that I have no other choice, and REALLY, I don't.  But, over the past few months I have learned a lot.  And to be quite honest, negativity just down right drives me crazy now.    There is SO much to be thankful for.  Even in the most negative situations.  I know that sometimes it isn't easy to see that, but there is something positive in every situation.  I have really started to look for this in all areas of my life a few years ago.  Let me give a small example.  A couple of Christmas' ago, we were putting up our decorations.  I really dislike forming the tree.  For some reason, that is just my job.  When I was standing there, getting scratches from the branches, and doing the tedious work, I was complaining under my breath, and the thought just came to me...."At least you have a tree."   I can't help but try to do that with everything now. ...
