Halloween 2010

Yes, it's December and I am blogging about Halloween.  Wait until my next few posts and you will begin to understand why I have been out of the blogging world for a while....

Because I was in so much pain, I didn't get to do as many activities with my kids for Halloween as I wanted to.  But, Kennedi got to have a little party at her preschool, they got to trunk or treat in the rain, and they knocked on a few houses on Halloween night.  So, all in all, I think it was successful for them.  I just wish that I felt better.  Here is our plethora of photos from Halloween weekend...

I have to write down this story.  Kennedi had me carve her pumpkin and when we got done with the nose I said, "Wow Kennedi, your pumpkin has a big nose!"  
She then said, "Yeah Mom, like you!"
Everyone just cracked up laughing...including me.  I can take it.  :)


Jerrod said that Kaden was the hit of the neighborhood.  All of the ladies loved his costume.  It is the same as last year, but we thought it was too cute to do something else.

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. One of a few very special and significant days for me. I have only been celebrating this day for the past 7 years, but I will celebrate it for the rest of my life. Today is Birthmothers Day. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
