Kennedi and the Duck Pond

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Bradley Lake here in Puyallup to take some pictures for her birthday invitation. We were just wanting a pond or a lake behind her, so, when we got there and found ducks we were very excited. Kennedi LOVED the ducks. She was constantly making "ah ah" (duck quacks) noises and crawled after them. She would have gone right in the water if we would have let her. I was so much fun. She is in her Halloween costume and we thought that she fit right in with the ducks. So, here are some pictures.
Notice the ducks in the background. She really wanted to get them.
It was so much fun. These were one of those days that I always dreamed about having with my own little family. It is such a joy to see your little one get so excited about something like this. I loved this day. And, we got some great pictures. Next time we have to remember to bring the video camera!

A VERY Significant Day

I am behind on some blogging, but I realized that I won't be able to get all of that done right now before I post this. And, I really want to post this today. Some people get the opportunity to have something so significant in their life happen that changes them forever. I am one of those people. Today is a very special day for me. One of a few very special and significant days for me. I have only been celebrating this day for the past 7 years, but I will celebrate it for the rest of my life. Today is Birthmothers Day. My Story--10 Years

I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story.
